Yes, Vigor is cross-platform between PS4 and PS5. This means that even if you use PS4 and your friend uses PS5, you will still be able to play Vigor with each other.

Is cross-play available? It gets a bit complicated here. Cross-play is available for Xbox and Nintendo Switch players; however, PlayStation users are not part of this pool, and they play separately. Cross-play is also available between PS4 and PS5.
Is vigor Cross Save?
Hi there, unfortunately this wouldn’t be possible – PlayStation will be having its own ecosystem, so cross-saving, cross-progression, and cross-play will not be possible.
Does vigor require PS Plus?
No. Oddly enough, any game in PlayStation Now can be played online without an active PlayStation Plus membership. You can think of this as an extra perk of a PS Now subscription.
Can you play vigor with friends Xbox?
We all know games are better with friends, so in the Ally update we’re making the first step towards a co-op experience — you’re now able to invite a friend to your team and join an encounter together.
Can you play Vigor offline Xbox?
It can be played offline: the online requirement is to help prevent cheating in its PVP mode. The only other option would be to set it up so you can’t bring the stuff you acquire offline into online matches.
Is Vigor PVP or PvE?
We will not be implementing PvE in the future, as we’d like to keep the game PvP, which is our vision for Vigor. If you’d like to be able to loot, you can try tactics in Encounters which use sneaking around and keeping quiet, while listening for footsteps and such in order to avoid other Outlanders.
